itsadoor safe, private, local AI in everything

Privacy

This page covers this website only. It does not cover the itsadoor app, which is a separate matter.

The short version

This site has no analytics, no cookies and no requests to third parties. Every page, font and picture comes from the site itself.

What your browser asks for

To show a page, your browser asks this site for the page, its style sheet, its scripts and its font. It asks no other server for them. Nothing on this site loads a font, a script, a picture, a map or a video from anywhere else.

The one exception is the small service that answers the guide, counts beta requests and receives shared thoughts. Your browser asks it for something only when you open the guide, tap “I would want this” or send your thoughts. Its address is set when the site is built. An address is set in this build.

The site sets no cookies. It has no analytics tools and no advertising tools. It does not try to recognize you when you come back.

Asking to join the beta

You ask from inside a room. That is how the site knows which room you were in, and it does not track you to know it. Asking takes one tap and is anonymous. An email address is optional. A line beside the button says exactly what the tap will send: the room, by name, and your email only if you have typed one. It changes as you type. After the tap, the page repeats what was sent.

What is stored: the name of the room, as part of a count for that room. Your email address, only if you gave one. Nothing else.

The office building has its own button, “I would want this for my workplace”. It follows the same rules, and the count it adds to is kept under “work” instead of a room. The call button in the office opens the same guide as in a room, and the same rules apply: this site keeps no questions.

After you ask, you see a confirmation. If you gave an address, it is used only for occasional news about the beta.

The page Beta has a sign-up that asks for your email, which is required there. Signing up stores your email and nothing else. Nothing on this site takes a payment, and nothing here can be bought yet. The keyholder area, the inside of the website for people who hold a key, will need a sign-in that does not exist yet.

The guide

The guide is a chat box that answers questions about itsadoor. This site does not collect what you ask it. It passes each question to an AI model on a computer that itsadoor owns, gets an answer, and keeps no log of the questions. There is one exception, and it is a tap you make yourself: see the next paragraph.

No person reads your questions and no person answers them. Only an AI answers.

Under each answer is a one-tap button, “That answer was wrong.” Above it the page says what it will send: that question and that answer, with the room you are in and the sources the answer showed. If you tap it, itsadoor keeps those and nothing else. If you do not tap it, your question and the answer are kept nowhere.

The AI

Not finished yet

On this website the only AI is the guide. It runs on a small computer in a house that itsadoor owns, and your questions are kept nowhere unless you tap “That answer was wrong.”

The app has no AI in it yet. When it does, the AI is meant to run on your own devices, so what you ask will stay in your home. What it is being built to do is on the page Everything you can keep.

What the local AI is for

Share your thoughts

Beside the guide there is a separate button called “Share your thoughts.” It is the only way an opinion from this site reaches itsadoor. Nothing you type into the guide is sent as an opinion. It sends what you type in its own box, the email address only if you give one, and the name of the room you are in.

Not settled yet

Where the site will be hosted is not decided. Ordinary web hosts keep their own records of requests. When a host is chosen, this page will say what it keeps.

Where beta requests are kept, and who reads them, is not decided yet. This page will say so when it is.
